Play Date.

When I adopted Meatloaf, he had been bounced around a lot. He had some behavioral issues and major trust issues. He was put into a foster home a few times. He had a foster sister named Tril, and Jenny, his foster mom, took really good care of him. Jenny and I became friends on Facebook and have been wanting to do a play date for months.

Well, we finally set it up! And Loafy was so happy to his old mommy! She said he looked happy and healthy. It was really good to get some more background about him and where he came from. Some not so nice people had him in the past and I am happy to say he will never need to worry about anything ever again. Except maybe too many treats 🙂

Missing.

So… Can someone tell me what’s missing from this photo???

Oh, the joys of having a puppy. The chewing phase is my favorite! Thank God I got these chairs at Ikea so they were not that expensive but still, all six of my dining room chairs have been chewed on… And all of them will need to be replaced… But not until AFTER someone stops chewing.

Any tips on this chewing problem?!?!

Toys.

As I was in class tonight, I got a text from my brother to tell me that he has (finally) cleaned his room and guess what he found…?

Every single dog toy that had ever gone missing!!

At least we know where to check now when we start to run low on toys.

Snow Day.

There are times when I think being a dog would be awesome – you can sleep all day, eat crappy food (that your mommy sneaks to you when no one else is home) and did I mention you can sleep all day? Anyone who has read my blog before knows that my dogs basically sleep all the time. We love sleep here!

Well there are times, like today, that I think it would NOT be awesome to be a dog. SNOW DAY! My work closed early, I got home and while I was shoveling, the dogs played. I, for one, hate the snow. I do not like to go out in it, I do not like to be cold and wet. And I hate the extra work you have to do when I snows; shoveling, putting salt down, brushing the snow and ice off your car. Yuck.

Well at least the dogs are happy I had a snow day today!

My Spot.

I did laundry the other night. I left all the dogs in my bed, headed to the basement and when I got back this is what I found:

I really need to stop leaving the dogs alone in my room… I end up getting left with all the uncomfortable places in my own bed!

Nap Time.

All I wanted to do was lay down and check my email. The last two weeks have been insane at work and though I really don’t want to work today I felt like I should at least check my email to make sure there were no emergencies. Gravy had other ideas. First she laid on top of me. Then it was next to me, mostly on my arm preventing me from typing. Then she moved up to sleep on my shoulder and kept sighing in my ear. Hint taken. It must be nap time.

I’m really glad to be able to say that Meatloaf and Gravy are friends. Not only cause we named her to “go along” with him, but because he really needed a friend. He is being so good with her too, I’m really proud of him. She adores him and loves to be wherever he is. Here are a few pictures over the last few weeks of the two BFFs together…

Puppy Butt.

Sleeping with a puppy can be a pain in the butt… And then some times they are just so good at cuddling or just look so cute that you forget how much of a pain in the butt they are! Take tonight for example:
